I didn’t go to school today. I sorta played hooky and sorta didn’t. Half and half. Music was fun today. Miss Perry is neato! Tomorrow is Mom’s birthday. I made her a cat face. I got an empty cat food can and glued on two blue foam eyes. Then I cut out a pink square with white dots on it off of an earring box for a nose. And made paper whiskers that were colored brown. It was a container for pins and stuff. That’s all I have to say. Bye!

Today, Mom had her birthday. I never know what to write in here. Today I’m writing something that I’ve had on my mind for a long time. Ever since mom started working at the library, she has been a little different. She is too busy and doesn’t have any time to do much of anything much less have time for me. But I’m making myself heal by doing more things myself. And now everything is the same as it used to be and I’m glad! Good-bye!

Today was a swell day. No fights, no arguing at all! Perfect day! I have to write lines and read a story in my social study book for homework except the lines were punishment, not homework! I made an 89 on the computers today, and in P. E. we learned how to do a backward flip! It’s a little hard to make your mind remember to do the things you have to do so you can do it right! But along with that, it’s fun. Well, bye!

Hello! Tomorrow’s another school day. I made a 79 in computers. In P.E. we tumbled and I finally accomplished the backward roll! I have to practice on it a lot though. That’s what I’m going to do when I’m through writing in here. Today, Melissa acted strange. She was mad at me for something but I don’t know what! But at the Girl Scout meeting today, she was a lot nicer to me. I think she was just joking. I have to do my lines now. Bye!

I am angry with myself about not writing! Sorry! I really have to get ready for bed but I knew that I just had to write in here! I feel a little sick, too. I have been sick or feeling sick for the past days. A little fever and sore throat every morning. I always get a cold every winter! It never fails! I had a lot of homework today. I’m gonna be glad to get in bed. I got a few Valentines ready and wrote the names on the envelopes. I’ll write tomorrow. I promise. Bye!

All the pages in back of here are the ones I’ve forgotten to write in. Mari just got through reading them. She’s neato because you can trust her. I let her know things that I don’t tell mom. She tells me things, too. Things she doesn’t tell anyone else. It’s fun to know things that other people don’t know because it makes you feel proud. I haven’t told anyone Mari’s secrets and I know she hasn’t told mine, either. Speaking of Mari, she’s spending the night! Bye!

I wrote what I did yesterday when Mari first came over; by the time we took her home the next day I was sick of her and that’s why I went back and scratched out what I’d written and wrote ‘I hate Mari’. Today I got tired of always doing what Mari wanted. I was glad though I didn’t show it when Mom took Mari home at 4:30! Tonight on t.v. “Jan and Dean” is coming on. It’s sad! Bye, Diary!
